  • Free flu shots for children aged 6 months to under 5 years

From April 2018, all NSW children aged from six months to under five years of age will be offered free influenze shots. Parents can access the free flu shot from their GP or usual immunisation provider.

The flu vaccine can reduce a child's risk of influenza (flu), minimise the spread of the flu and protect vulnerable groups including babies too young to receive the vaccine, those medically at risk and those with weakened immune systems.
