Parenting

Parenting is one of the most important and difficult things you can do - as well as one of the most rewarding. There is little training in how to raise a child. It is an enormous responsibility which is usually taken for granted.

Parenting styles may be different but we all share a common goal. We want our children to be happy and healthy and have the best possible start to life.

Services for New Parents

Karitane @ Camden is available to families who live in NSW, have a child under 18 months and are experiencing difficulties with parenting. Karitane can offer a residential stay for families or access to a Day Stay for residents of the Macarthur area.

Families are admitted to the unit for 3 nights and 4 days. Whilst in the unit, families are offered support and education with parenting issues such as sleeping and settling, breastfeeding concerns, routines and parenting skills. For some families just having 24/7 support makes a huge difference to feeling confident in the way foward!

Families can be referred to Karitane @ Camden by a health professional using the Referral Form on the Karitane website at www.karitane.com.au
