National NAIDOC Week (3rd July-10th July 2022), is to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nation cultures and histories. This week is about joining together in celebration of the oldest, continuous living cultures on early.

Camden Paint The Town REaD have put together a NAIDOC Book List,  all books available from Camden Libraries. Books are a great way to introduce children to the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, as well as learn about First National cultures.

Another way to get children involved in NAIDOC week, is through creative activities such as the NAIDOC colouring in page- can be downloaded here NAIDOC week 2022 Colouring Page

Due to the current weather conditions, Camden Council has sadly been unable to host NAIDOC Week Flag Raising Ceremony. Instead celebrations have been moved online, NAIDOC Week
