Camden Council holds four free Occupant Restraint Fitting and Checking events per year for residents to have their child car restraints, harnesses and booster seats installed and/or checked for safety and correct fit.
Events are held every March, June, September and December.
We will again be offering a voucher system for the December event. Residents will be able to have their child restraints fitted/checked at their homes by a Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) Authorised Restraint Fitter via their mobile service.
Child restraint fitting is considered an essential service by the NSW Government.
Vouchers for the December event will be available from 8am, Monday 22 November 2021. Bookings can only be made via this online link.
The next event is scheduled for March 2022. More information regarding this event will provided closer to the event date.
If you would like to organise to have your seat fitted independently at your own cost please ensure you use an RMS Authorised Fitter. A list of authorised fitters can be found here.
