The Moving Forward Together Association exists to celebrate the diverse national, ethnic and religious backgrounds to help build an inclusive society, and to acknowledge and celebrate the enduring principles of fairness, harmony and respect.

In celebration and recognition of upcoming Multicultural March and Harmony Day the Moving Forward Together Association will be running the annual Harmony Day Poster and Song Writing Competitions. These competitions have been established since 2005.

Since 2005, close to 700 schools have participated in the program with between 3000 to 6000 students entering each year. The competitions’ aim is to establish a platform for communicating the positive benefits of harmony, humanity, unity and co-operation in society.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 competition on the theme ‘Picture a World in Harmony’ attracted high quality entries from schools across New South Wales.

The theme for the 2021 competitions is ‘Harmony – Everyone Belongs’.

Students can enter individually or as a school group/year. Further details of the 2021 Competitions and registration forms are available on the website: www.movingforwardtogether.org.au

Entries close on 2 April.
