What is Children’s Day?

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day is a time for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communications across all of Australia celebrate the strengths and culture of our children. It is an opportunity to show support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children as well as learn about the crucial role community, culture and family play in the everyday lives of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child. 

Involving children in celebrating National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day creates a national culture of celebration, respect and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. SNAICC - National Voice for our Children have put together some wonderful and engaging activities for children to enjoy!
