The thought of your little one heading off to big school in a few short weeks might be daunting and anxiety provoking. This is a major milestone for your little one, but also yourself.

Research highlights that children frame their expectations on their parent’s stories and experiences, so if we’re nervous ourselves, that will come across to our children. However, if we tell them positive and exciting stories about school and validate their emotions, they are more likely to feel assured and confident.

Education NSW have a fantastic resource for parents to assist with the tasks required in preparing for your child commencing school. Camden Paint the Town REaD have a Reading List with 25 books that can be borrowed from Camden libraries. The books chosen might help your little one prepare for the big milestone.
