School Holidays are a great time for the whole family to get out and about and enjoy Camden. Below is a list of some fun suggestions of things to do in Camden that are children and family friendly, from bike rides to walks to places to cool off - there is so many great things to do. 

Waterplay Parks and Pools

Curry Reserve

Curry Reserve, crowned 'Park of the Year' at the 2020 Parks & Leisure Australia Awards of Excellence, is a water play space for all too enjoy. There is wet play wheelchairs, making it a fully accessible facility. At Curry Reserve also sits playground, covered picnic area, BBQ facilities and toilets with disabled access.

Opening hours: 10am - 7pm daily (September to April)  

Dawson-Damer Park 

Dawson-Damer is Macarthur region's largest water play space. It has a number of water and non-water activities, including water slides, water spinners, a ninja warrior course, swings, trampolines, basketball facilities and picnic areas. Dawson-Damer is also an inclusive facility, with Water Play Space Accessible Facilities

Location: Corner of Dick Johnson Drive and O'Toole Avenue, Oran Park 

Opening hours: 10am - 7pm daily (September to April)  

Camden War Memorial Pool 

Camden War Memorial Pool has children's wading pool, disability pool and changeroom access as 50m outdoor pool. There is a kiosk facility as well as picnic area. 

Location: Corner Oxley and Mitchell St, Camden NSW 

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 6am - 7pm, Saturday & Sunday: 8am - 7pm

Bike rides and Walks 

Harrington Park 

Harrington Park Recreational Area offers a great place for the whole family to enjoy a bike ride or walk. Enjoy the picturesque Harrington Park Lake, and make use of the picnic tables and playground.

Nepean River Cycleway

Nepean River Cycleway is a great way for the whole family to get back to nature. This shared path is fantastic for both a family walk or bike ride. Check out the ducks at the Wetlands Reserve or stop and have a play at the many parks on offer along the way.

William Howe Regional Park 

William Howe is a beautiful regional park, with a 2.5km loop that is both children and dog friendly. With scenic views and a lookout, its the perfect place for a family picnic.

Australian Botanic Gardens - Mount Annan

Australian Botanic Gardens are hosting a number of exciting school holiday activities to get involved with.

Magical Edible Garden - 12th, 19th and 20th January 2022 

Go on a delicious journey through the Garden to find the most amazing, tantalizing and surprising edible plants - for humans and other critters!

Play some fun food-games and mix up some delicious ingredients to make your own completely edible sweet mini-garden to take home and enjoy - YUM!

Aboriginal Biscuits and Bush Tea- 12th January 2022

Accompanied by a First Nation guide, children will experience a taste sensation with Indigenous bush foods and ingredients. They’ll discover how Indigenous foods were traditionally prepared and consumed and how these foods are still enjoyed and savoured in our cooking today!
